Areeba Ramzan

Areeba Ramzan graduated from a BA in Geography at the London School of Economics (LSE) in 2024. After completing a consultancy learning programme on sustainability certification standards at Globalfields, Areeba rejoined the team as an Analyst working on climate vulnerability assessments and a wide array of climate projects across the globe - including on green housing, climate-smart social sectors, and SME access to climate finance.

Areeba also took the lead in the development and rollout of the Sustainable Finance Guide which Globalfields produced with illuminem, a sustainability media platform, bringing together analysis, case studies, and expert perspectives to examine how sustainable finance functions in practice as well as, critically discussing the role of sustainable finance in the current financial landscape.

Areeba is keen on continually expanding her knowledge of environmental issues and the intersection with international development. She is particularly passionate about learning and teaching others about Islamic sustainable finance and the role it could play in driving meaningful sustainable change.
