Bio

Charlie joined Globalfields as an analyst after completing his MSc in Environmental Technology at Imperial College London, where he specialised in Environmental Resource Management. For his thesis, he worked with the Ministries of Finance and Energy in Sierra Leone to model the country’s climate financing gap, building on his wider interest in the relationship between climate change, finance and international development.

At Globalfields, Charlie has developed experience across concessional climate finance, climate risk analysis, sustainable finance research and policy advisory. His work has included supporting Green Climate Fund funding proposals, preparing technical annexes such as market studies and technical notes, and contributing to project development in areas including green hydrogen, sustainable fertiliser production and low-carbon investment.

Charlie has also contributed to climate vulnerability and risk assessments for major infrastructure sectors, including transport and offshore oil and gas, with a focus on translating physical climate risks into decision-useful analysis. In addition, he has produced research on carbon credits for gas flaring, green taxonomy gap analysis, and supported work on national energy efficiency strategies. Through this experience, he has built a strong interest in how countries can improve access to climate finance, strengthen investment readiness, and link climate action with broader development priorities.
