Bio
Niloufar Javadi Abhari is Senior Manager of Policy and Operations at Globalfields, where she specialises in international climate finance policy and project development. Her expertise spans the four major multilateral climate funds and a range of sectors, including energy transition, ESG reporting, regenerative agriculture, and climate-resilient housing. In addition to her policy and technical work, Niloufar serves as a project manager, overseeing internal resource allocation, business development and client engagement
Niloufar has worked extensively with public and private sector clients across Southeast Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and the European Union. She has significant experience in developing national and regional climate finance strategies, conducting climate risk assessments, and strengthening institutional capacity for climate action and finance mobilisation.
Her project portfolio includes contributions to climate finance strategies for the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Cabo Verde; a study examining women’s access to green finance products in Lao PDR; the development of a regional regenerative agriculture fund in Africa; and the design of an energy transition fund for the Caribbean.
Niloufar also specialises in Green Climate Fund (GCF) institutional accreditation. She has successfully supported both a US-based fund and a Netherlands-based fund through the GCF accreditation process.
Niloufar joined Globalfields in 2022 following the completion of her MSc in Environment and Development at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her academic background is further strengthened by a certificate in Sustainable Finance from the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL). She is fluent in Persian and proficient in Arabic and French.
